As the year 2020 came to a close, the performance of theme park applications on Android devices in Europe presented intriguing trends, as provided by data from Sensor Tower. Let's delve into the Q4 performance of the top 5 theme park apps.

Disneyland® Paris experienced a peak in downloads during mid-October with nearly 9.5K downloads, but observed a sharp decline afterward, stabilizing at a few hundred downloads per week towards the end of the year. The app's weekly active users followed a similar trend, peaking at close to 20K in October and then gradually decreasing to around 4K by the end of December.

The Europa-Park & Rulantica app also saw its highest number of downloads in early October, reaching over 7.4K, before experiencing a decline. By the end of Q4, the weekly downloads were in the teens, while active users dropped from nearly 10K at the start of the quarter to just 550 in the last week of December.

For the Alton Towers Resort - Official app, download numbers saw a high point in late October with 3.9K, but no new downloads were recorded after the first week of November. Weekly active users showed a decreasing trend from over 5K in October to under 300 by the year's end.

Futuroscope had its best week for downloads in mid-October with 4.6K, but this figure dropped to zero in early November. Active users mirrored this pattern, peaking at nearly 5K in October and then falling to just 63 in the final week of 2020.

Lastly, Phantasialand reached its highest download count in the second week of October with over 2.5K downloads. From November onward, the app saw minimal downloads, and the number of weekly active users decreased from over 3K in early October to 231 by the end of December.
